I love...

I don't know about you, but my favourite types of blog posts to read are about things that people are currently loving. So for this post, that's exactly what I'm doing. I can't promise that you'll like or enjoy anything that I talk about or recommend but it's worth a shot!

Dani & I with our Hogwarts badges!
The first thing I'm loving at the moment is themed nights out. This coming Saturday a group of us will be taking to the streets of Lincoln for a Harry Potter themed night out to celebrate the birthdays of my fellow journo's Dani and Becky - watch out! Since the final movie came out, I've not really been that bothered about HP to be honest, but that all changed when I read the words 'Harry Potter themed pub crawl'. Deciding on a costume is always tricky I find. I love fancy dress but I can never pick an outfit! After a week or so of trying to decide, the character I decided to be is Moaning Myrtle! This weekend I shall be donning my best dead look and tattered Hogwarts outfit - yay! If this themed night is a success I'm sure there'll be more to look forward to in the next few months! Actually, there will definitely be one soon - one of the girls has already brought a sombrero... OlĂ©!

Music is something else I've been completely obsessed with lately. I mean, I always have loved it but recently there's been two songs in particular that I seriously cannot get out of my head.

If we're friends or you follow me on Twitter then you probably know how much I love Taylor Swift and have done for quite some time. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I own all of her albums. In the latter half of 2012 she released an album called Red which had a song called 22 on it. This song is currently one of my favourite songs and has been since I first heard it. It's an upbeat and feel-good song which gives of a sort of sleepover anthem sort of vibe (I hope you get what I mean). At the end of the day it's just a really really fun song and I love it. If you like songs of a similar description I recommend you give it a listen. It's due to be released on April 1st and I can't wait to see if it does as well as her previous singles!

Another song I've been loving is called Heart Attack by an artist called Demi Lovato. I'm not sure if many people will have heard of her but she was one of those Disney kids that nobody really gave the time of day. Similarly to Taylor Swift, I've loved her music for quite some time (yes, I was quite the fan girl back in the day). I stumbled across this song a few weeks ago now and I genuinely haven't stopped listening since. The track is what I think every good pop song should sound like - energetic and feisty. Demi's vocals are as fabulous as usual with a very radio-friendly sound. I'm sure not many of you have heard her sing before but I promise you that you won't be disappointed if you give it a listen - she's got an impressive set of lungs on her! (Also, it's out on April 28th so you should buy it, I know I will be!)

Last but not least, my final recommendation for you is an American mystery-thriller TV show called Pretty Little Liars. The programme follows the lives of 4 girls - Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin, Emily Fields and Spencer Hastings. They began as friends but fell out of touch after the disappearance and death of the leader of their group Alison DiLaurentis. A year later they all start to get anonymous texts from a figure going by the name "A" who threatens to reveal their secrets. Alison, better known as 'Ali', was also harassed by the mysterious figure and the girls risk their lives trying to find out who "A" is. 3 seasons in and I'm completely hooked. I think it's because I'm in so deep that I feel like I know these girls, is that sad? I just need to know who "A" is because it actually stresses me out. Every time I think I know who is involved, I'm either wrong or they get killed! It's one of those shows where you can't miss an episode otherwise you'll miss something vital and won't understand what the hell is going on. The fourth season has just began filming and it premieres in June - words really cannot describe my excitement!

Congratulations if you made it to the end of this blog post. It was a little bit here, there and everywhere but I feel that's an accurate representation of my life. I hope you watch or listen to something I've recommended! :)
