AAAAH! Please excuse the excited state in this post but today myself and my friends got some really exciting news. We've had the magazines we made at uni nominated for Student Midlands Media Awards!

We made
Frankie says 'I do', a wedding magazine, and
On Location, a film and travel magazine, in our final year of uni and already had some success with them. Frankie was awarded Print Journalism of the Year at the LSJ Journalism and PR awards in April last year and On Location was shortlisted for the Redwood Best New Concept award at the Magazine Academy Awards in London in October, which was incredible!
I'm so incredibly proud of us and while it would be amazing to win, I'm just really happy we've had our work recognised again! The event is on April 21st in Birmingham so we're looking forward to dressing up and heading to the event to mingle with the rest of the finalists.

I've just come off a two hour FaceTime call with Becky, one of my friends who I created the magazine with and we've been excitedly chatting and searching for hotels for us to stay in. And fingers crossed Maxine (who is inconveniently from Gibraltar) will be able to attend too!
Hopefully you didn't mind this quick update, I was just so excited I wanted to share the news ASAP! I'll have a new post up later today or tomorrow so look out for that.
